Glossy: “Cider launches its first Gen Z-focused out-of-home campaign”

THE CHALLENGE:
Despite being a unicorn startup, Gen Z fashion brand Cider needed to establish awareness and overcome market skepticism (as evidenced by numerous 'is this a scam?!' Reddit threads about the brand).

THE SOLUTION:
We developed a brand campaign that positioned Cider's proprietary 'shop by mood' feature as a cornerstone of personal style expression, in tune with Gen Z’s visual language and culture. Out-of-home (OOH) takeovers in prominent trendsetter neighborhoods effectively transformed city streets into pedestrian Cider mood boards, and we amplified Cider’s presence with a targeted digital ad surge on TikTok and YouTube.



THE OUTCOME:
76% of ad recognizers reported an improved perception of Cider. 39% overall recall and 86% likability rate, surpassing benchmarks. Moreover, the campaign spurred lower funnel actions, evidenced by a 35% increase in 'Add to Cart' activity and a 133% rise in purchase activity among those exposed to the ads.
